IBPS SO 2020 Notification Out

IBPS has released IBPS SO 2020-21 Official Notification to recruit 1000+ posts of Specialist Officers (SO). IBPS SO 2020 is going to be conducted on 26th and 27th December 2020 (preliminary Exam) and on 24th January 2020 (Mains Exam) by IBPS or the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection to select eligible candidates for various posts like:

  • • Marketing Officer (Scale I)

IBPS SO 2020 (CRP SPL-X) exam will be conducted through a three-phase (Prelims, Mains & Interview) selection process. Candidates who qualify both the rounds will be further considered for the final interview process.

IBPS has introduced 647 Specialist Officers (SO) vacancies for IBPS SO 2020-21 exam. Only a handful of vacancies are available for this post as the post of SO involves really skilled and specialized officers excelling in their respective domains. IBPS SO 2020 Recruitment

The IBPS SO recruitment process is going to be conducted to select Specialist Officer through IBPS SO 2020 is done in three phases:

  • Online Preliminary Exam
  • Online Mains Exam
  • Interview Process

A candidate must qualify for both the preliminary exam and mains exam to proceed to the interview round. The candidates selected after the interview round are given the appointment letter.

IBPS SO 2020 Application Fee

A candidate is required to pay Rs. 850/- (General and OBC) as his/her application fee for IBPS SO 2020 exam. The same amount is narrowed down to Rs. 175/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category. The Online Application will start once the notification has been released by IBPS.

IBPS SO 2020 Exam Pattern

IBPS has released a new exam pattern for IBPS SO 2020 Exam. Now IBPS introduced separate sectional timing for each section in the preliminary exam. Let’s have a look at the same.

The preliminary exam will be a qualifying phase for the mains and candidates will have to meet the cut-offs of prelims to be eligible to appear for the Mains exam.

IBPS SO 2020 Prelims Exam Pattern: There are two patterns for IBPS SO prelims examination for different posts. There is a sectional cut-off and candidates have to clear all the sections in order to clear the preliminary exam of IBPS SO 2020.

IBPS SO 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The IBPS SO eligibility criteria are different for recruiting candidates to different positions for which the candidates are selected through IBPS SO 2020 Exam. There are three parameters (citizenship, age limit, and educational qualification) that a candidate needs to fulfill to be eligible for IBPS SO 2020 Exam.

The Citizenship Criteria for a candidate to be eligible for IBPS SO 2020 exam is discussed below:

IBPS SO Age Limit (As of 01.11.2020)

candidate is required to be of minimum of 20 years to be eligible for the IBPS SO exam. The maximum age limit is 30 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation by the Government of India. The category wise age relaxation given to candidates for the post of IBPS SO is discussed below:
